NASPRO and GSoC 2008

Hello everybody,

I had no time to write on this before: NASPRO is officially and definitely partecipating at GSoC 2008.

We had one slot assigned to us for a student to develop a data based file format to store parametrized FIR and/or IIR filters and make them work in NASPRO, which means a good opportunity to start showing the potential of the framework with supporting exotic ways of representing effects (non-algorithmic in this case) as well as test it and make it easier than ever to develop effects (non-algorithmic == you don't have to write code).

So please welcome our GSoC student, Donato Di Stasi from Matera (Italy), and wish him all the best. ;-)

As if it wasn't enough already, the first release is approaching and there will probably be another two big surprises I can't tell yet.

Stay tuned!
