Project activities: help needed!

Hi folks,

these days I'm concentrating on the organization and structure of the project to encourage possible contributors and interested people to get involved easily.

Currently I'm revamping the docs, explaining in detail (much more then before) the motivations behind every little decision taken till now; I also made some adjustments to the website and am trying to open the discussion around the project in general.

I want to say that I'm not a fascist dictator who doesn't listen to the crowd, has its own vision of the world and it cannot be changed, just because some decisions I made might look "fancy" and against what are believed to be good practices these days. There are reasons for this, and that's what I'm trying to explain in the docs.

Now I do need feedback from people working everyday with such things to understand if the solutions I'm proposing are good for the reasons behind them. I need people to take a look at the docs and comment on them. This is the right time to do it! It's not that I'm not doing my best, but instead I know it's probably not enough.

Then, I'm currently doing a lot of things at the same time, as you can see, not just coding, and I can work only in my spare time. So I'd like some help also for other things like maintaining and improving the website, spreading the word, keep contacts with possible interested users and developers, also from external projects, suggest ideas, make criticism, etc.

Don't be scared however: development is not stopped, things are going on as usual, but I have to know I'm not building a house noone will ever live in.

I do believe things will change suddenly after the first release, but I'm asking help to prevent mistakes instead of correcting them later.

So, please, give me feedback, and be cruel if it's needed!

P.S.: I'd like to thank again Marco (forart.eu) for the help, the trust and the moral support he's already given me and I know he will give in the future.

Here to stay !

...you can surelly count on me.
Of course i can help the project in my way, remember that i'm not a developer...

BTW i would like to have a "tell a friend" option in the website, that automatically invites submitted email's with your specific (it would be great to have different messeges for different targets: developers, audio users, etc.) message and, if agreed - by click a link into the email, add them to a newsletter.

As i already suggested, GoonMail could be the simplest choice.

Marco
